Why the need to uplift?

About a third of the Philippine population lives below the poverty line, 80% of whom comes from rural areas. They are the most vulnerable of our countrymen, faced not just with poverty but also with many issues relating to politics, culture, challenges from territorial disputes, and graft and corruption.

The Siglo ecosystem was developed as a single e-payment platform to provide long-term and sustainable solutions to help alleviate poverty in the Philippines. We also envision it as a powerful data-mining tool for Filipinos to gain better access to information, capital, and opportunities.

This platform, coupled with technology-based education and training, further equips our countrymen with the right tools to create and take opportunities not only for themselves but also for others.
